Elementary Update

Foyil Families,

As I am writing this, we are in the middle of our 19th day of school.  This first month has flown by and been just as great as all the previous years.  Although we had to make changes to how we are doing some things around school, our students and staff have taken the adjustments in stride.  I personally want to thank our families for their patience and understanding during these times; I know it has been hard on you as well.  School may be slightly different, but students are still learning, teaches are still teaching, and smiles are seen daily underneath those masks!

When your child gets home today, let them know how proud you are of them for being able to adapt and be flexible.  It is easy to complain about having to wear masks for extended amounts of time, but our students have been rock stars from the beginning.

Hopefully everybody is getting in a routine by now, but we still need to be reminded of a few things.  Buildings will open at 7:45 daily for students to begin eating breakfast.  Bus riders will exit buses at this time also.  Students will be counted tardy at 8:00.  Make sure your child is ready to go in the classroom by 8:00 so we can start our day on time.  We are limiting the number of visitors on campus this year and a mask must be worn to come into the office.  Make sure to check in at the office before going anywhere else on campus.  Finally, progress reports will be going out on Friday; these do not be returned to teachers.

Thanks again for letting us work with your children.  It is always a great day to be a PANTHER.
